The largest FE2 wiki suddenly moves to Miraheze
Recently, the largest Flood Escape wiki, the Flood Escape 2 Wiki officially begins its move to the Flood Escape Series Wiki on Miraheze in a surprising announcement with direct support from the game's developer, Crazyblox. Following many years of the Fandom Flood Escape 2 Wiki that's been in operation since April 2017 the team has officially announced plans to migrate every page over to the new wiki and retire the old FE2 wiki. This new Flood Escape Series Wiki isn't just for Flood Escape 2, it's for every part of the series. From Flood Escape to Flood Escape 2 and its upcoming new sequel Flood Escape Hybrid, a combination of both games.
This move comes after a recent growing disdain for Fandom and its ads as well as user-second business practices with many community members expressing positivity towards the new change. This appears to coincide with the general declining approval rates of Fandom in the Roblox community with recent alliances like the Roblox Independent Wiki Alliance being founded. It is worth noting that we found no evidence of the Flood Escape Series Wiki joining the IRWA.
However, many existing Fandom community members, especially on the younger side, are unwilling to move to a new platform, with many stating that they will not migrate to the new Miraheze wiki despite how many ads Fandom throws at them. Yet, wiki administrators remind contributors that logged-in users see a lot less ads than logged-out users, and that the "average reader experience is horrible."
We note that the Flood Escape Series Wiki is currently outranking the legacy Flood Escape Wiki and sometimes the newer Flood Escape 2 Wiki. The existing Flood Escape 2 Wiki is planned to be discontinued completely on the 20th of June, 2026, with no comment from Fandom.
In a Fandom blog post made by a Flood Escape 2 Wiki administrator they expressed that it was not an easy decision and is extremely difficult due to Fandom's distaste for people "forking" wikis. What becomes of this remains to be seen, but I wonder if the Roblox Wiki will eventually follow this path.
