Code of Conduct

The Obby Times exists to cover obby communities with respect and accuracy. This code applies to our staff, contributors, sources, and anyone engaging with us, either on-site, in comments, at events, or on social media.

Expected behavior

Treat others with respect, even in disagreement
Give credit to creators, runners, and other journalists
Report facts accurately; correct mistakes promptly
Disclose conflicts of interest
Respect privacy; do not dox or harass

Unacceptable behavior

Harassment, threats, or hate speech
Discrimination based on identity
Personal attacks on players, creators, or staff
Sharing private information without consent
Plagiarism or fabrication
Astroturfing or undisclosed paid promotion

Enforcement

Violations may result in:

Removal of comments or content
Revocation of press access or contributor status
Removal from volunteer or contributor roles
Referral to law enforcement where appropriate

Reports are reviewed by editorial leadership. We protect reporters where possible and do not tolerate retaliation.

Scope

This policy applies to official Obby Times channels and events. We encourage similar standards in the communities we cover.
